This is it folks- the Citizen Kane of
bad movies, Ed Wood's "PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE!" Though a
lot of films claim they were the worst - they all pale in comparison
to this work of art (?)!This campy cult classic landed in movie
theatres in 1956 and the World is still feeling its (bad special) effects
from
it! Ha! This film is also sadly known for being the last film
appearance by screen legend Bela Lugosi. Well sort of appeared
in, the whole story was built around a few minutes of footage of
Bela that his pal "Eddie" shot of him just a few days before
Bela died. Bela's double throughout the rest of the film was played
by a chiropractor pal of the director who hides his face behind a cape!
You just gotta love it! The ironic thing about this "Plan 9 From
Outer Space" klock
is that it probably cost more to make this one klock than |

| it did to produce the whole movie! Ha! This spectakular klock features 4 of the films main stars-the gore-geous horror host Vampira, Swedish wrestler turned B-movie icon Tor Johnson, the great psychic (?) Criswell and the gentlemen who was Bela Lugosi's double for almost the entire film (who was also Ed Woods chiropractor!) This is a rare publicity shot of the four shot on the actual set of the film! The background is a beautiful picture of a starry night sky with the text above reading "Ed Wood's Plan 9 From Outer Space" in classic cheesy B-movie text! Its hard to see from this scanned image but there is hand painted sparkling blue glitter throughout the sky that shimmers under any light! Now let me draw you attention to the kustom klock hands-the hour hand is a replica of one of the ray guns used in the film, the minute hands is 4 soaring space ships that constantly circles the stars! | |||||
